K.R Market (Krishna Rajendra Market)

On my last day in Bangalore before my flight in the afternoon, I took the alto taxi to K.R. Market. Some alto taxi drivers refused to take me there as they believe they are still on strike, would like to take advantage on tourists in particular for a higher taxi fare. I had no choice but to succumb to their needs because if I can’t make it to K.R Market, God knows when I will land in Bangalore again. It was a half hour ride, snaking thru small roads, back lanes, uphill, downhill roads, seems like never end. My driver even parked at a small shop for petrol. This is something new and strange but interesting.

K.R. Market is huge, like a big Indian palace that leave the jungle in the big city. The first section I came to was the garden of greens, curry leaves, mint leaves and tulasi. Women sat on the ground, on five foot path; they were covered with greens, they do not mind the dirt and the wetness of the ground and a place they felt like home. Cows passes through like the Big Minister, doing their bits here and there, evidence proven, come see for yourself, at times I had to tip toe through the jungles of K.R. Men carried goods on their heads, full concentration as they graced through the path, taxi drivers awaiting their call for deliveries, transferring of curry leaves from lorry to the carrier below. Fruits displayed like arts. Hot steam pot on the man’s head like a hero with no fear. Carrots and carrot colored dressed woman sync well for my photography.

I could not go further in as it got worse, the stench smell of mix flavors certainly a turn off for me. But I did not miss out one mission though, lots of pictures for your perusal. Enjoy here, certainly not there. Hahahaha.
