Edit Blog Post
Well I guess someone might be wondering what we are doing at the moment and why the blogging has stopped so I thought I better update and explain. We had always planned to return home for a few weeks after Ethiopia to attend Holly’s graduation and catch up with family and friends which we did, having a great time doing it all. However we also had a rethink of our plans and worked out that if we cut down on the last section of our travel plans we would have enough to buy a small place to live in when the adventure is finally over.
So we are still in England and in the middle of a very frustrating and long drawn out house purchase, not helped by discovering that the sellers solicitor had lost all his paperwork and not informed anyone so 3 weeks were completely wasted! Gutted just doesn’t sum up how we feel. Luckily we do have somewhere to stay but conditions are worse than anywhere we have been on our travels!!
We intend to spend 2-3 months travelling in South America once everything is sorted out (and assuming we can scrape/borrow enough cash) and already our feet are really itching to be off. Lots of times we wonder why on earth we decided to do this but I know we have made the right decision however awful it may feel at the moment.
So we remain stuck in limbo for now but hopefully it won’t be for much longer.

Thanks for the update...
hope the house purchase comes to a successful conclusion. I'm looking forward to your SA blogs. I'm also getting itchy feet. I just made reservations from Colorado Springs to Beijing where I will join my son to take the train along the Silk Road as far as Tashkent, Bukhara, and Samarkand, and then via Air Baltics to Riga, where we will visit the Baltics and Finland before I fly to London and back to Colorado Springs...all in a round the world trip between March 21 and April 16. That will be the extent of my travels in 2013. 2014 is reserved for South America...so I will take good notes from your blogs.
