Let me start my travel blogging with an old memory of a trip while I was doing my graduation(2003-2006) . You would not find all the ingredients of a typical travelogue here, but finest pieces of some flourished memories happened 7 years ago.
Location : Second year chemistry class room/NAM College
Aaaaaauunhh....Yawning as usual, black board is flooded with lot of charged particles searching its pairs to make some bond. There are some organic compounds from the last period at the sides of the board to challenge these loving bonds.
The poor lady lecturer was quiet bookish, you know, copy from the note, paste on the board. So we tried our best not by asking any question though she insisted. That day she threw a question straight to Munaf whether he had any doubt, he was proudly sleeping in the very first bench. She asked again.
Munaf got up from sleep with all the glory and wiped the honey dripped out of his mouth with his right hand.
Munaf: Ma’am, I have a doubt? Tell me acetic acid is acid or base? He repeated the question with great anticipation turning his head 180 degree both sides.
He didn’t know whether it’s a wrong question to a right person or a right question to a wrong person, in physical chemistry class looking at the organic class notes on the board.
But by all the ways and means the question became HISTORIC!
Finally, it was the time for last bell, we, excluding few who were serious about studies decided to go somewhere. The discussion was going along with taking 'notes' in the class, and finalized to go to VeegaLand. The land of fantasy and amusement in Ernakulum near Cochin. Thouseef was little busy with some girls as he used to give some 'gyaan' to those on some very secret topics.
The day before we planned the trip, one major accident was reported on the way to VeegaLand, five youngsters' soul in one Toyota Qualis left their body. so we changed the plan and decided to go by train.
Thouseef and Munaf did not like the idea of train, Thouseef was a virus in every plan we make. He used to have many plans in that age, only plans!
But they gave us
a big surprise by reaching Telechery railway station before we could.
Rafi somehow convinced his family for a day out. We all met in station, Ismail and Shanid were with me. I was empty handed , but Munaf was in a mood of a holiday trip with a huge bag filled with many stuff.
In the train we had fun big time!!! Believe me I was taking chemistry tuition for a +2 student we met in train , he was going for some entrance exam.
I remember, there was some equation in chemistry to be balanced; I could not make him understand, so he became confused.
In the train, Rafi had gone to some other compartment to search for some nice catch! We all had dinner, each one 'helping' others to finish their food, and slept for a while.
Early morning before 4.00is we reached Ernakulum railway station. We did not know whether to stay back in station and wait till sunrise.
Finally one idea flashed on my head to go to any nearest masjid, we did Subhhi namaz and sat outside when the Qateeb left the masjid after locking the door.
I
have seen one guy roaming there as he was neither came for namaz or nor for any morning routine. I found him little 'mistake', and he made my thoughts obvious after one of my fried got up from a nap and saw himself opened.
We had a light breakfast and were ready to Pallikkara, 12 kilometres from the city of Kochi and reached near the VeegaLand gate intime. We had to wait one more hour to get in.
There was an offer, four teachers pass free for 20 students and 20% offer on each ticket if you have student ID card. Some how we made some friends there and gave them names and address and appointed them as our lecturers. Out of one 'lecture' did not even passed SSLC. ha ha aha ha ...... but we gave them 5% off on each ticket after collecting complete money from them.
So, finally we only had to pay around 50% for the ticket since we got four tickets for free of coast.
I still wonder how things are coming to my mind like frames of a motion picture though this happened 7 years ago. Now We are in. The
very first thing we did was to have a brochure of all the events and games which includes Splash, Pool, Bullet Rides, Musical Fountain, Cave, Vertical fall, Giant wheel, windmill, Dashing cars, XD Max etc. happening there so that we never miss anything.
Loot them....
Finally we were in, VeegaLand- To of Hill, Full of Thrill!!!!
There were artificial wave pool, which has a thin separation with a nylon rope for guys and girls. As different poles always are in high attractive field, there was huge rush near the rope. We had some photo-shoot there with Munaf's cam
.
We almost tired of all the water games, especially the zigzag sliding from a tower to a pool. Once one my friend slide over some pretty girl as they were stuck in the sliding pipe. I was in lungi rented from someone, but i was desperate for that game. In lungi, I went for the sliding adventure. Maan..... There was lot of people in the pool of all ager groups, when I started from top, within no time my speed became very high and in that very ecstatic moment I have got my lungi in my hand and deeply dived into the pool, drinking all those chlorinated dirty water. ssssShit.
After the lunch, at evening, we changed our dress and went for other non-water games, it was getting dark and we saw musical fountain dance then verified the brochure whether we missed anything or not.
It was around 6.30pm, they said us to pack off, but for the last time we needed to go for one snake ride. The guy who controls the machine told us get down after one ride. We got really pissed off, because nobody was waiting for that ride any more, but he was teaching us the rules. We planned to teach him a lesson, after each ride we used to get down and get in and continue the process.
Finally we had enough for the day and thought of leaving the place. As we reached early in the morning, we tried our level best to leave as last ones in night.
All the time in the day, our virus Thouseef was roaming with his one day 'partner' friend found in Ernakulum.
While coming back, we all had one
Having ChocoBar Just before leaving VeegaLand
L-R : Thouseef,Shanid,Rafi and Myself[sitting] question in our mind, the HISTORIC question asked by Munaf .
He kept on telling us why acetic acid is not an acid. we all looked each other, no one dare to question him.
The night lights on both sides of the train passed very quickly.
Note :
By the def. from org. chemistry from Munaf, a compound which gives away H+ ions are acids and which gives OH- are alcoholic.
ie,acetic acid can be written as CH3-CO-OH.
