We keep being SO literal on this leg. We moved from Rockport because we're not fond of rocking so much. Now we're up the coast in Portsmouth, pretty well anchored in the port's mouth.

High seas, fog and scattered storms have been the order of the day so we're looking for a calm spot to hole up in until Tropical Storm Leslie works her way up and out of the area sometime after Sunday next week. Hopefully she isn't too eager to adopt the title hurricane as she whirls north in the company of upstart TS Michael a little further out in the Atlantic.

For now, we're 'forced' to eat amazing bagels with salmon cream cheese at the Bagel Works in order top blog e vous! If we hunker down here for a while you might get some pics.

tomorrow we might learn some new tricks and tackle rolly seas to Portland Maine. If that goes well we'll take a run at Greens Island, which will put us so much closer to Nouvelle Ecosse.

Calmly waving...

Love Para 1.
Can't say I have ever heard of a TS or larger called 'Michael" afore.Reading 'Witch in the Wind" - The true story of the legendary Bluenose by Marq De Villiers; a good read at the half-way mark. He talks about the 'Outer Automatic' buoy at the entrance to Halifax harbour... remember it well i am sure it is still there... watch for it. Smooth Sailing, Mike

Stuck in the mount of the port, are you?
Glad for the update. We're finally getting rain (actual on Tuesday, and in the forecast for the next four days). We need it desperately. The Bay/Lake and the Moira R. are very, very low (as are the other Great Lakes and rivers flowing into them...as I understand). But we don't need hurricane winds and neither do you guys out on the edge of the Atlantic. Take care. Stay safe. (And keep enjoying those delicious-sounding bagels!) K.
