It was always going to be a long one. Moruya to Sydney to Bangkok to Copenhagen to Oslo. 36 hours from start to finish. The kids had completed two full days at school before we arrived at our final destination.

Bangkok airport - hey guys don't you think airconditioning would be a good idea, given the tropical climate you live in? At least the spittoons are gone. But amazingly they still have smoking rooms - little glass cubes with room for 6 to 8 smokers on display for the world to see!

Copenhagen airport.....absolutely beautiful but we were there for less than 20 minutes so I am not yet an expert on Danish culture. Next time perhaps when we are there for 3 days!

And then on to Oslo airport - Gardermoen. Very efficient. Great duty free shop. Strait out of customs onto the bus! Very happy with that service.

Thank god for early check-in allowing us to freshen up before an extra day of sightseeing! We hadn't planned anything on this day because of arrival times and check-in times and the potentially slow nature of group travel but everything went well; we were raring to go by 10.30!

Strait?
or should that be straight? Or is it the language barrier that you are preparing to potentially encounter?
