I got my LSAT score today - 170. Not as good as I'd expected or hoped, but good nonetheless. The train to Beijing from Shanghai was annoying - we had a family in our room and the kid kept waking up and screaming all night long. Ugh. But I ate some of the first Western food this morning I've had in China since I've been here, and it was a welcome treat. Right now I'm with Mike and Chuck - we're about to go meet up and get lunch with Treu, and then off to the Temple Of Heaven.

The station was crowded on the way out, and all the poor people lined up outside. One woman managed to take my used ticket right out of my hand - I think they use them to try and sneak onto the trains, since the person coming out of the station in front of me wasn't allowed out for using an old ticket.

Let's just say, the streets don't move at rush hour, which is 16 hours a day.

This is a typical Beijing apartment building. Still, most of the city was slummy.

It's the Chinese Colonel. But no, it's not KFC (which they do also have here).

Apparently they rate the quality of the public bathrooms in Beijing. This one at the Temple of Heaven is a 3-Star Bathroom.

The roads in the area were lined with trees like these. In fact, many of the attractions, parks, and gardens in China have similar tree lined paths. Probably my favorite part, especially on a foggy day.
