our Hotel in Furstenberg
Allthough we put into the GPR no freeways, it did send us all over autoways and we were in and out of Swiss in not time at all. It is a pleasure to drive over the German country roads. We arrived in our very small township of Furstenberg early afternoon. We had no lunch and were advised to go a township not far from there, for there were no restaurants in Furstenberg. It has a brewery we saw. So we went to Donaueschingen and had a Schwrzwald coupe. That was an icecream and it did the trick we were not hungry after that. We found out that this little place was the start of the big river Donube. In the centre of town is a well that is the start the big river. Even the Roman General Tiberius knew about this. It ruuns for 2540 k.m. into the Black Sea. There are three small streams flowing together. The Breg, Brigach and the flow of the well. About 2 k.m. out of town they come together. We walked up there to see this for ourselves. Not easy 30 degrees. But after the Spanish heat we were used to it. We also went

Furstenberg
to another place called, Triberg. That has the highest waterfall in Germany. It is a fall of 136 metres. A very steep climb but we were rewarded with amazing views and the waterfall as well. Lots to see around here.It is at the edge of Schwarzwald and a beautiful area. It has lots to offer and at some places you here that many different languages you think you are in the United Nations. Well we be here for a few days so more nice things to come. Till than Liz & Allan
