Where do I start? This was by far one of the most amazing days of my life. It is something i have always wanted to do. For those of you who don't know the elephant is my fav animal and I got to spend the day with a whole load of them!
I spent the day at an elephant sanctuary, where elephants were cared for after being mistreated or were suffering from illnesses. There was also a baby elephant who has been born at the sanctuary too.....so cute!
To be surrounded by huge docile elephants that liked eating just as much as me was living my dream. Learning how to ride the elephant and guide it where you want to go was great, riding through the jungle on an elephants back with Cotty screeming in my ear was brilliant, even when my elephant sneezed and his snot covered my entire foot (my OCD went out the window at this point). But the best moment was bathing my elephant, even when I came close to getting crushed by another. Cotty and I managed to scrub our elephant clean with pond water that was floating with elephant dung. The look on
Cotty's face when she dropped her brush (to clean elephants) in the pond and had to go wading through the dung to find it was absolutely priceless!!!
