Coal is used to fuel the samovars and for the kitchen in the train restaurants

Passengers enjoy the fresh air and chance to stretch their legs

These people were selling home cooked produce at the side of the station

I bought an egg and some pastry from the man on the right

Our lovely trolley dolly
Lubuth who sold us small bars of dark chocolate and was our new best friend
