Getting ready to pack for our Alaska trip in 2 weeks. My sister-sib Karen and I have done this trip before but this time we are going to spend the night in Anchorage and take the train to Whittier the next day. We spend so much time outside on this trip and walk miles on the deck as the scenery is so incredible. In 2008 we did this trip and actually lost weight we put on so many miles. This trip we are going to hit every quilt store we can find: 2 in Anchorage, 1 in Juneau, 2 in Skagway and 1 in Ketchikan, last count. This year will be the first time we plan on taking a whale watching tour from a local company which will limit the number of people on the boat to about ten and with any luck we will see pods of Orcas and porpoises coming through Robson Bite and the Inside Passage.

Hi Kathy, Sounds like you have an amazing trip ahead of you all right! I bet you will have a great time going to the quilt places. I hope you take photos of the quilts and post them on your blog, can't wait to see them.

Its so nice that you are able to travel. You must have a wonderful stay at home family who are really missing you at this time, although treats seem to make the wait more bearable.
