Hello yet again.

Today I'm writing from an internet café in Sihanoukville on the South coast of Cambodia.

On Monday we left Chau Doc and drove around an hour to the VietnamCambodia border. We had to get out of the bus with all our belongings and walk over the border, collecting our visas and having a health check with the Doctor. After another 4 hours we arrived in Sihanoukville. The place was just lovely, we went and had lunch at a restaurant directly on the beach and then explored some of the local shops before heading back to the beach for the evening.

We had a few drinks and went swimming in the sea. While we were swimming, a thunderstorm started and it was an absolutely amazing experience to be in the sea with the pouring rain all around us. We then went to a club which had a swimming pool and a hot tub before heading back to the hotel for a well earned rest.

Yesterday morning, we were on the beach early for a boat trip to some of the local islands. We did some snorkelling on the way and saw the most amazing bright coloured fish. When we got to the islands, they were beautiful. The water was clear and the beach was bright white. The sea was lovely and warm. We were cooked BBQ baracuda fish for lunch by our hosts and spent the rest of the day sunbathing, swimming and relaxing. In the evening we went back to the beach for a few drinks.

Despite my initial apprehension about joining an organised tour group where I wouldn't know anyone, it has been a great experience. The group are getting on really well as a whole and everyone is really friendly. We have people from the UK, Sweden, South Africa, New Zealand and Switzerland.

Today we are heading to Phnom Pehn, the capital of Cambodia. We're taking a public bus with kareoke on for 4 hours so could be interesting!!
