Keely's Homestead Site

Deserado Mine Road 65. Rangely, CO 81648

this is an old homestead site is just off the roadway. A few timbers remain and part of the home's foundation although evidence of Walter Keely's life is scattered throughout the area. His hand-dug cistern is located on top of the low ridge about 100 yards north of the homestead, and his fenced grave is directly across the road hidden amoungs a small standing of pines.
