08.00 Hours Wednesday 28 March

So here we are all alone in my last stop, Calcutta before I fly down to Cochin on Saturday.

Feels a bit odd to be alone after all the companions of late

So today I want to see the cricket ground Eden Gardens then take a ferry on the Hoogley River, take some photos of Howrah Bridge and go the famous flower market under the bridge.

I set off early to try to beat the heat of the day.

I walk to Eden Gardens but it’s difficult to get a good photo as the place is so big.

I take the ferry across the river back to Howrah station where we arrived yesterday

So I am out for 6 hours and it’s getting really hot so I head back only stopping for lunch on the street.

It is tough in the heat after 2 in the afternoon and as you will see by the photo of my feet really hard on them too.

I am shattered!!!!!!!!!
