We've been here at Corpus Christi, Texas, for 6 weeks and we have 2 to go. I am making one blog to cover these last 6 weeks. It covers some of the main things I've seen , or see regularly.



Every day I start out with a nice walk about sunrise. This walk is usually from 2 1/2 miles up to 6 miles. I always have a camera with me and many of these pictures are taken at that time. Most frequently I walk the beach and the surrounding bay area. Other pictures are from places we travel to in CC (Corpus Christi) or surrounding areas. Since one of our pastimes is bird watching and taking pictures of them, the last blog I posted was devoted entirely to that subject. We've enjoyed our time here in TX and realize that this state is huge and we have not seen, or will see, nearly all of it.



I plan only one more blog which will cover our trip home and conclusions for Snowbirding 102. I will notify all of those on my blog list when this final blog for this winter has been posted.

CC industrial port is very busy, with tankers, barges, tugs, etc, always going and coming.

Sometimes the photograper gets lucky. I was watching this huge tanker coming in while on the south jetty, escorted by 2 tugs, and a big weather front was coming right at me. There was just enough light to let me take this picture before scouring off the jetty and get back to land.

The city has placed hundreds of light strips on the bridge and at night a computer runs a continually changing light show.

I put this photo in because it shows some "Texas Pride". Seems like wherever you go, you find Texans of any age in cowboy boots.
