Leslie here: I'd like to take this opportunity to say that I recognize how exhausting it can be to watch other people pack and move your stuff but how about the rest of us coming up with entertaining photos for these blogs? Totally intense! I also would like to comment on the fact that Mom and Dad seem to have spent a good amount of time in their hotel, which I whole-heartedly approve of, since I "man" a hotel bar. But have they developed a relationship with their hotel bartender? It can really enhance the hotel experience to get to know the person at the helm of the ship, as it were. And it's a great way to spread awareness of the cocktail I named after Mom, the "Lois-tini". It's a martini glass full of chilled water with a lemon twist. It's actually become a favorite at my bar because people sometimes like to keep the party going without actually keeping the party going, if you know what I mean.

Here's today's blurp -

We had a good night's sleep at the hotel after an

exhausting 2 days of watching the movers pack and move our stuff out of the house. They were an excellent crew and were very pleasant and helpful.

After checking all the closets and cleaning up the dust, we left the house Wedesday at about 4 P.M. and drove up Rt. 128 to the Hilton Garden Inn in Waltham. Very nice hotel - at a good rate through Priceline!!!

After checking in, we had a lovely dinner in the hotel restaurant. Got to our room and by 8 P.M. I was sound asleep!!! We had breakfast today at the same restaurant and a few hours later we drove to Fall River to visit Aunt Mary and Uncle Paul. It was good to see them. Also spoke to cousin Kathy on the phone who sends her best to the family.

Not everyone enjoyed a lovely meal.

We're back at the hotel now and will get another good night's sleep, get up early in the morning, have some breakfast and get to the closing for 9:30 A.M. Then we're off on our exciting trip. The weather forecast for tomorrow here is good - no rain or snow expected!!!!

We'll keep in touch along the way to let you know where we are.Love,Mom and

Lindsay here. Well, if all went to plan and without any hitches, the 'rents are now motoring south after the closing this morning. They've got a lot of miles ahead of them, but I'm sure the excitement of a new chapter in their lives will make the pavement beneath their wheels pass quickly. To paraphrase Lyle Lovett, they're not from Texas, but Texas wants them anyway. Pretty soon it'll be nothing but cowboy boots and ten gallon hats, line dancing and denim skirts. There'll probably be a ho-down or a hootenanny in there somewhere, too.

Texas wants you, too!
Leanne, I feel certain that Lyle had you in mind when he penned those lyrics. Whatever it is you want, you got it here. There are jobs! There are houses! Apartments! Lofts! There are relatives - and more each day! There are miles, and miles, and miles!
