Farewell to the Nam

So it was time to farewell Vietnam, finally, and head to Thailand for a short 10 days. After an hour and a half delay in Vietnam we finally arrived in Bangkok. I think Vietnam just didnt want us to leave!!! We didn't plan to stay long in Bangkok so the next day we hopped on what seemed like a luxury bus compared to Vietnam and headed south. Our destination was Hua Hin, about 2 hours south of Bangkok. We were to stay with Daves family friend Doug and his Wife Khun Chonchica (a.k.a Poo). it was a little adventure to find his house as the bus arrived early and doug was not there to meet us. So we went of on a little walk in the rain and managed to trudge our way to their lovely condo. After a few beers we then made our way out to dinner to Mr Butcher, as it is known by Doug and Poo. This is because Steak is on the menu, from Oz!!! After a great meal at a lovely restaurant we retired to the balcony for more beer and then to bed.
The next day we had to ourselves and went into the town of Hua Hin. A very busy town with a lot of tourists and expats (people who have moved to thailand to live). We cruised the streets, walked the lovely white beach and ate some more great thai food before retiring back to Dougs to take advantage of the pool!!! That evening Poo cooked us an amazing feast of Thai food that consisted of a shitload of seafood and more beer on the balcony.
The next day we were chauffer driven around the Hua Hin area by Doug and Poo and got to see some lovely coastline and countryside. The next day we were to leave for Koh Tao further south so that night we took Doug and Poo out to a lovely restaurant on the beach. We had a great time in Hua Hin and probably enjoyed the greatest food as we had Poo, who is Thai, with us and she knows what is best. The next day it was time to say farewell to our excellent hosts as we jumped on yet another bus, full of screaming kids this time, to Koh Tao........

Hi guys!! Didnt know that we could add comments for you to read- this is nice! Sounds like your having fun and seen a fair bit since you left- good work. Hows the UK going? Will have to put a blog update about that on here soon, love hearing what your up too! All good here. Have made the decision to move over east so will only be here for another couple of weeks then Im outta here!! Dont worry I am sticking with flight centre so I will still be able to look after your flights! Anyway, gotta go, keep having fun. Miss you both, talk to you soon Ange xx
