alright Alright ALRIGHT. I will write the blog. Not a single entry for Laos and I'm leaving the country tomorrow. Let's see if I can remember all the way back to Huay Xai. Major Details: Stuck there four days waiting for Gibbons Experience. Ate sandwhiches. Crazy lady was our Innkeeper. She was neat agressive crazy too.

Me: "May I have some water?"
Crazy Lady: "You see water! You get water! Is good for me. Is good for you. You no like cucumber! Pork sandwhich no cucumber!"

Not once did my fucking pork sandwhich not come with cucumber and it's pracically all I ate.

On to the Gibbon Experience. Lots of hiking! Lots of hiking. The hiking was really muddy and slick and sometimes shin deep etc. But it was lots of fun too. 1000m+ long zip line rides 150m+ above the ground makes up for a lot of it. The jungle is a really gorgeous place, but it's really trying very hard to kill you and eat you the whole time you're there. We didn't see any gibbons of course. If you want to see animals of any size in the jungle you've got to stay there months and months. But we heard them and that was pretty impressive. The best way I've heard it described is like the sound effects from a Star Wars space battle. Fi did real well. She really kicked ass on the last day of hiking. The last real climb of our stay was very long, VERY steep, very slippery and a little infested with leeches. But you feel really good when you realize you're almost done for the day. It was really a great time and I'd say you should go if you like pain, baby bears, monkeys, mud and leeches and beautiful stuff too.
