Hi all, we are going to try and add the piccies from yesterday which didnt work!

Today we visited the buried village site where an eruption in 1887 completed buried a village and destroyed the new zeland named eigth wonder of the natural world - the pink and white terraces. The museum and site were really cool and it is scary to think that something so amazing was destroyed - we wouldnt evcen know it was there if it happened like 500 years earlier before photography!

We went and saw a massive waterfall on the walk back to the car park, the walk down was bad enough, but the walk up - bloody nora!!!

we then bought up the gift shop - ooops, but got loads of cool things, like a meditation flute and a spinnign thing.

From there we headed north via another waterfall whcih was cool, and then through auckland to orewa where we are camping tonight and at last a nice campsite which has clean looos!

Right, enjoy the photos, fingers crossed!!

Oh, amanda thinks she has sulpher posioning, another ailment to add to the long list of self dagnosed illneses and conditions this trip!
