This delightful day was spent on the TennTom Waterway (a part of the TomBigBee - I think). We followed our new experienced cruisers, Long Gone, through the many locks. The first one, Whitton Lock, dropped us about 80ft. The new tool that another cruise made us helped Mary secure the Lock Pin every time. (Lock Catcher = a piece of strong hose of about 1 1/2 ft. over the line). We had 7 locks on the trip today; held up about 30 minutes at one that was having mechanic issues and another 30 minutes for the barge to get through first (barges have priority and if they carry anything hazzardous no other boat can enter the lock).

The scenery along the way was beautiful. Trees had a variety of colors and shown brilliantly along the shore. Once in a while we passed small housing compounds and a mulch plant and barge staging area. This part of the trip was more isolated that previous. Interestingly, we saw very little traffic on the waterway.

Just a dinner time, we landed in the Columbus Marina. They have a loner car which we will use in the mornng to treat ourselves to breakfast out.
