The Story of Guai Guai’s bath

One sunny day, Shifu’s white dog, Guai Guai strutted proudly into the yard covered in brown stuff. At dinner I was suddenly put off my food when Guai Guai came in the room. We realised he reeked of crap. I mean really reeked. But he didn’t realise why he had become outcast and everybody now shouted at him “GO AWAY!”, “YOU DIRTY DOG!” whilst Urlan Shan (the black dog) now got all the attention and love.

Eventually me and Sue took pity. I coaxed him over with some pretzels and put a lead on him. Then we washed him carefully so as not to get bitten. Ive never seen a dog snigger but Urlan Shan watched with “I told you it wasn’t a good idea” eyes. Guai Guai didn’t trust me for about three days but eventually forgot about his bath and we got along again fine.

The Adventures of Guai Guai

One day Guai Guai followed us to the bus stop at the village high street. Guai Guai’s a funny little creature. He looks like a miniature Falkor (the lucky dragon from the Neverending story) with the front teeth of Muttly from Wacky races. For some reason he is hated by all the other dogs in the village, perhaps because of his unique appearance. He took our walk to the bus stop as a chance to get escorted safely through territories he would not normally be permitted. He strutted proudly, making sure the four martial arts students were always between him and any other dogs and marking every other dogs’ territories. What HAD he done to piss off all the local doggy gangs?
“I don’t care, I have a new gang now,” was what his body language said.

When we got to the high street he waited with us at the bus stop. A car or scooter occasionally whizzed past inches from his back, horn hooting loudly but he didn’t seem to take a blind bit of notice. We realised he was oblivious to any notions of road safety even though his sister that had been killed by a car.

The others tried to tell him to go home but he just backed away from us a bit and further into the road(!) I think he had planned on getting escorted safely home with us. Another car whizzed past him actually brushing his tail and making him jump but he still didn’t get the picture.

I decided to try and send him home. I casually walked towards him in the middle of the road and then suddenly threw my claws up in the air growling and snarling dramatically with all my lungs and glaring through his eyes. Childminding and being a Manny, I have had a lot of monster practise. Patrick said he’de never seen that dog run so fast. When actions are done in Love they are done with the greatest force. The market holders on the village high street loved the performance.
