We got into Rainbow beach and we hit a wall of rain.. this is about the first time i have seen rain since i left home, kinda weird. We ended up booking a 3 day self drive 4X4 trip to fraser island at the hostel we were staying at. They put you into groups of around 11 people and give you a car and camping gear and off you go... kinda crazy! Our group was really really cool a few english girls some canadians and some italians. the other group we went with that were in the other car aside from 4 of them were not so cool :SThe island was beautiful... loads of dingos and amazing fress water lakes. You couldnt swim in the ocean because it was shark breading ground.. they showed us this one picture taken a while ago with a couple having sex in the water and two tiger sharks swimming around them... they had NO idea and were SO lucky because they couldnt hear the people yellling at them from the cliff.. and the sharks just swam away. They all took turns driving along the beach*the ones that could drive* the beach on this island is like the road its pretty crazy. and when the tide is high there are little dirt tracks running along the inland that you take instead. We were camping inland on the first night, pretty much in a rainforest! it was so awesome! Although when we were making dinner i was making the burgers and oil got in the other candian girls eye *not the one i was travling with* and they had to rush her to the hospital on the main land. i felt SO horrible 😞 We did some looking around and saw an invisable river which was really beautiful! Then the next day it was off to see some more amazing sights. In the 3 days totaly we saw Lake Mackenzie, Lake Wabby, And some more that are slipping my mind at the mo. One was a tea tree lake that they say you could wash your face in it and honest to god it felt sooo smooth :P and one lake that the sand was so fine you could polish your teeth with it... im not sure if that one worked all to well *yuck!* We went sand boarding down a big sand dune and camped on the beach with the dingos the last night. That was loads of fun. you could shine a flash light in th dark and just see a bunch of eyes waiting for the food. they were harmless though, more scared of you then you are of them. That morning we woke up to a newly formed lake in our campesite. It had poured rain all night and everything was soaked. Our tent was the only one that didnt leak, SO lucky!
We journeyed back and all in all we made some amazing friends and some even more amazing memoried on that trip! Thanks girls... and boy :P
Next was Airlie Beach!

WOW
I din't really know if I wanted to stop in F. Island, but from the looks of it, I really want to now. Are you on some sort of bus pass and just stopping at a ton of places along the way? or what are you doing?
