1: tea ceremony 134 secs
Today, felt like a normal day! Hallelujah! LMAO! The big yellow ball, I think it's called the sun, well, we haven't seen it in so long I've forgotten, shone, and we had a staff meeting and got our assignments. I am teaching 2 English classes, a dramam and a music. Cool. AND I get 3 days in a row off--Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and I work Thursday-Sunday. I like it.
Rich and Diane, 2 teachers who are here for 10 months, and hail from Cambell River, on Vancouver Isand, BC, took Joyce and I on an adventure this afternoon. After having lunch together as a large group at Dad's Kitchen, we hopped on a bus and Rich, the human GPS, as Diane likes to call him, took us to the fabric market where we saw the most prolific fabric collection I have ever seen. Jeannine, I thought of you!!! The selection is unbelieveable. There are countless stalls selling real silk, and just as many tailors waiting to create the perfect garment for you! I am definately going to be buying fabric and also ordering myself a custom made garment of some sort. Maybe something traditionally Chinese? We wandered from one end of the market to the next, exclaming at this beautiful fabric and that beautiful fabric, all under the watchful eyes of the tailors busy humming away at their machines creating garments, suits, and draperies. Oh, the drapes and clothing I would order if I were to stay here! It's tempting, but NAH, not that tempting! LMAO. I'm definately in for that second suitcase for the trip home, HELL, maybe even a third filled with silk fabric I can sew into beautiful sexy undergarments or peignoir sets. A girl can dream, can't she?
Near the end of our exploration, Rich and Diane ducked into a tea house for a short cuppa, and we watched a tea ceremony and drank tea. It was oolong and it was delicious. The scent is dreamy and so is the taste. We contentedly sipped and Rich, a big Teddy bear of a man, explained how we could sit and drink tea all afternoon, and not buy a thing and would be welcomed back. Talk about great hospitality! I made a video so you could share the tea ceremony with us. Enjoy. Oh, and keep your comments coming! They make my days so much brighter. 😊

Shopping!
It's hard not to buy too much when your are in those amazing markets and you see all of the wonderful things (fabrics etc.). I remember shoes!!! Having little feet made it possible to buy a lot of cheap cute shoes!!! Are there lots of shoe stores where you are? Sounds like you are having a great time! Love hearing about your adventures!

In response to Sara's comment about shopping....
Hi Sara, I am enjoying your comments, and welcome back to work, btw. LOL, you can slap me for being cheeky about work when you see me later on this year, YES! Shoes, oh such beautiful shoes, but alas, my big western feet do not fit most of them. I did manage to buy some sandals the first day, cuz I was gonna kill myself in the rain in the flip flops, but so far no luck with anything gorgeous. Oh well, sigh, I guess that means I\'ll just have to buy a lot of silk to make up for that, eh? :)
