One of the little french villages had this wagon load of flowers at the edge of town.
Bill and I have decided that Robbi is our good luck mascot -- it hasn't rained for two days and we haven't been lost since Linde gave him to us. Guess we had better keep him on the back of the bike for the next few days.

It did indeed get cold last night; no clouds equals low temps. But we were packed and ready to go by 7:30 this morning. We had traveled this part of France in 2006 so decided to go a slightly different route this time, cycling through some small villages on our beloved back roads of France and along the canal via a bike path.

Arrived in Strasbourg before 1:00, ate a good meal at a restaurant in front of the cathedral (with its beautiful stained glass windows dating back to the 13th and 14th centuries and its Astronomical Clock), played tourist for an hour or so, and then headed to the campground where we had stayed just five years ago. The campground has cleaned up its act a bit in the past few years; we even have Internet here.

I'm sure Robbi is a bit disappointed cause we had no "adventures" (as

he calls them) today. He can't complain about the scenery though; it was lovely.

Right now it's time for a snack of bread and cheese and ham as we plan tomorrow's ride. Should we ride up the French side of the river or the German side?
