We were up and packed by 11:00am check-out and even made it down in time for breakfast. We all dumped our things in the lobby and I headed out to see by the pool with the four American girls. We layed in the sun for ages before we decided to collect a few others and head down the road about 300m to a tavern which is actually owned by the people the own the hotel we were staying in.
We had some lovely meals; I stuck to the chicken salad to keep it light but some of the pastas and fish dishes that others got looked amazing.
After we headed back to the hotel for some more time in the sun, a play on the net and some chitchat before it was time to get out things, get on the bus and head to the Mykonos Port for our three days of island crusing. We didn't really know too much about this part of the tour and we were flabagasted to find out that we were going on a huge cruise ship that holds 1800 people. The ship is called Louis Majesty. The cabins are bigger than the ones I stayed
in on my P&O Cruise and there is only 2 people in each room.
We waited around at the Port for ages before boarding. We got on, got our passports taken off us and our boarding pass cards handed to us which we would use for everything for the next 3 days. Everytime you get on or off the ship all they have to do is scan the barcode on your card and your off.
We went to our rooms, which by the way is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. We quickly got settled then made our way down to have dinner with some of the others. The buffet was amazing. So much food and it was all delicious. After dinner it was about 9:00pm already and we made our way to our rooms to shower up and get ready to meet the girls back in the theatre for the 'show' at 10:30pm.
The 'show' was a freakin joke. we were sitting there and they were doing this kind of The Price is Right "Come on down" type thing which confused us. Then were got introduced to the different staff of the ship and then it
got interesting.
Out on stage comes this two women who start singing 'Waterloo' by ABBA, then some guy comes out singing goodness knows what, then the girls came our and did solos and then the guy and one of the girls came out and did a song together. It was at this stage that we'd laughed so hard at their seriously terrible performances that while walking out and laughing the guy on the stage was laughing while he was singing. Terrible.
After we walked round for ages trying to find more Contiki people and nothing. We are a group of about 30 odd people so among 1800n it was pretty difficult to do.
Finally Kyle (from Toronto) and I were the only ones left walking round before we almost called it quits but ran in to Ryan (South Africa), Paul (South Mellbourne) and Nick (Greece). Mary and Sharnez decided to head to be. So we headed to the 'disco'. My god, it was awful. There was girls aged between maybe 12-17 on the dance floor and a few randoms sitting round.
We sat there for a while chatting and having a good laugh before deciding the whole thing was a
joke and headed to bed.
