Prepare to make Banh Bot Loc
quite simply! We made them by ourselves23 years old - It's not a small age of a Vietnamese girl like me. I really like to travel, both travel in my country and travel abroad. However, this is the first time I had gone to the middle of Vietnam (the farest place I traveled up to now). My volunteer group and I had a really nice trip to Dong Hoi, Quang Binh. We not only travelled but also met many local volunteers as well as people with disabilities here.
We together went to the Nhat Le beach, together visited Phong Nha Ke Bang Cave ( one of Vietnam's world heritages).
Our group started from Hanoi at 6:00 p.m. We didn't find any Vietnam travel companies and rented a 29 seat car with the car driver who is also a friend of my group leader. Therefore, the cost for everyone was very cheap, everyone felt very comfortable as well as felt safety during the way to Dong Hoi, Quang Binh.
We had a good sleep and came to Dong Hoi in the next morning. Our group didn't stay in the hotel. We stayed in the house of a member of our group - His name is
Toan.
Banh Bot Loc
Special food in Quang Binh, Vietnam He and his family are very kindly. Especially, his mother prepared lunch for us with many special food of Quang Binh. We also had chance to made a special cake of Quang Binh - Banh Bot Loc by ourselves. It was really interested for all of us.
In the afternoon, we together went to Nhat Le beach. I love this beach very much. The sea water is so clean and blue. The white sand stretchs along the beach. The scenery is really beautiful. We had dinner in a restaurant near Nhat Le beach. This restaurant also belongs to a person with disabilities who is Toan's friend. She was very enthusiastic to introduce with us many delicious foods and told us many stories about here. We were really happy. After having dinner there, some volunteers took us travel around Nhat Le and Dong Hoi. And then, we came back Toan's house. We had a really nice night. Many of us stayed very late to talk with each other about many things such as the kind of people here, our schedule on the next day, about the life, and so on...
In the next morning, we went to Phong Nha
Ke Bang cave. We didn't have to buy tickets because Toan had contacted with the local authority and we could visit this beautiful destination without fees. It's also the first time I was on the boat in the river to come in to the cave. Really excited! Just travel to here, you will feel as me....... So beautiful, so comfortable..... And with me, so happy also... Happy for coming here and together with my friends.....
I will never forgot this nice trip. We came back to Hanoi with many feelings. We said goodbye to Toan and her mother as if we said good bye to our brother and Mom! We wanted to say we loved you very much and loved Quang Binh!
