The Team
2nd in Line at check out we were keen!!Well we made it and it has taken me two days to get over it!!
Day One
Everything went to plan, except Tracy and I didn't sleep at all Saturday night and by the time we got to the airport I felt I was drunk I was so tired! Good way to start the holiday, everyone was so excited and some of us were even a bit nervous. We went to McDonalds and Erin's parents had to put up with us all buzzing and being noisy as we tried to get ourselves sorted out!! Big thank you to them for getting Erin and Hayden to the airport on time!!
Jenny and I had a bit of trouble working out which mascots to bring. Last time we came to Thailand we brought the two teddies Robyn and Peter, and when we went to Europe we brought Clarkee! Well being a family holiday we decided to bring them all. Nothing like excess luggage, but you will see photo's of them through out the trip.
We made it through passport control and the Duty Free shop and then onto the plane. There were some school kids at the airport who were
unable to fly to New Zealand who got food vouchers and a night in a hotel all thanks to Qantas, while the other airlines were still flying to New Zealand??? Who can work that one out.
Anyway we got on the plane and spent the next nine hours watching TV and reading. Hit a bit of turbulence and Ash and I both felt that the sick bag might come in handy! But we made it. We had our moments on the plane which included Erin threatening to beat Nick up as he pulled out her pillow when she was asleep and she woke to find the six of us looking at her and laughing, poor Erin couldn't quite see the funny side of it.
Arrived to the heat in Malaysia which was pretty overwhelming after coming from 5 degrees in Melbourne. We had to go through Customs at KL and Passport control, pick up our bags, walk to the other side of the airport, go through customs and passport control again and get the plane to Phuket. We were a much quieter group on the plane to Phuket, as by this time we were all a little bit
over it!! Still arrival in Phuket really lifted our spirits and the excitement grew as we found our bus driver and headed off to explore Phuket. We had been up since 4.30 am and when we arrived in Karon at our hotel it worked out we had been awake for over 24 hours and we were all stir crazy!! Still spirits were high or maybe we were just all hysterical, because after moving into our hotel off we went to explore the bars of Karon for a quiet nightcap! Ha ha and that is quite another story!!

Great to hear you are all enjoying yourselves, TOO much at times I hear , obviously Nick is enjoying his liquids. He is the only one with an excuse the rest of you should try some solids The time is really dragging as we wait to join you Keep on having Fun Cheers (Oops didn't mean to encourage you lot)
