About a year ago, Jeff and I started to plan the trip of our dreams... Southern Africa!

Why Africa?
everyone asks us. We just always wanted to go - it is one of the most diverse and beautiful places in the world. Where else can you see breathtaking waterfalls, majestic mountains, wild animals on safari, underwater wonders while scuba diving, and an amazing city on the coast - all in one trip?

Planning:
Planning a trip to Africa is no easy feat. We had a very specific list of what we wanted our trip to include. Originally this is what we started with:
> Safari- walking and jeep
> Possible Delta tour (with canoes) (Botswana)
> Cape Town - to include Table Mountain, wine country, Robben Island, and beaches
> Victoria Falls
> Possible Mozambique or anywhere with excellent scuba diving - if cost and time allows
> We would like to see as much of South Africa as possible while spending ample time in Cape Town and on safari.

The trouble was that none of the tour companies that we looked at included all these things. So we finally found a company that customized a trip for us - Cruiselite Tours & Safaris. They have been amazing, patiently putting up with many itinerary changes and questions, all while offering expert advice based on a deep and thorough knowledge of South Africa and all it has to offer.
They were able to accommodate all our requests and tailor make us the perfect trip. The final trip is even better than we imagined. The only thing we won't be doing is going to Botswana - due to recent cost increases in that area. But we are going to Kruger National Park, which will be equally amazing if not more, I'm sure!
So our final trip looks like this:
- Victoria Falls
- Drakensberg Mountains
- Pezulu tree house game lodge
- Kruger National Park for a 3 day walking safari and a day or so of game drives (by jeep)
- Swaziland
- Mozambique for scuba diving, beach, and dolphins
- Cape Town to include great white shark diving, wine tours, the flowers of Namaqualand if they are blooming, the penguins at boulders beach, and much more!

For the longest time it has not seemed real. And there is a little part of us that still cannot believe it. But, as the date of departure gets closer - the butterflies are increasing and the excitement is growing. We are now focusing all our attention on packing, talking with people who have been to Africa, practicing taking pictures, etc...
Honestly though, I don't think it will hit us until we get on that plane to Africa. It is just such a dream come true and we cannot wait!!!

Your trip sounds AMAZING!! Such a fun blend of land and sea adventures! After navigating around Europe without much prior exposure to the culture and opportunities here, I see the definite value of having a travel tour company help plan this with you; its worth it to ensure a seamless trip and every best option. I hope the time leading up to your departure flys by and that you get lost in countless incredible, exotic moments while you're there! xo
