It’s Friday and it’s Market Day in Berchtesgaden. Wooo Hooo, Kirsten loves market days.

Ok in addition Brain, mandy and the kids are leaving to go to Lego Land in Augsburg and from there they will meander back to Frankfurt by Thursday morning for their flight home.

So Kirsten and I along with Oma and OPa will be staying in Berchtesgaden till Monday morning.

But today is Market day and Kirsten is in the car beeping the horn wanting to go. Oma is still upstairs and rushing so she doesn’t get left behind. We all made it into the car as Kirsten was revving the engine.

As were pulling into the market area Kirsten is already talking about what she wants to buy.

The car is parked and she and Oma are half way across the street while and Opa and I are looking at each other wondering what we do now. We decided to go and get a cup of coffee at the café and watch the people walking by.

Kirsten returns in about an hour and says she found a nice second had shop and wants to go. So I go and Opa stays at the café, we get there and Kirsten says she looking for one of those German dresses that all the women wear in southern German.

Ok, so I go in and look at the men’s stuff while she is shopping for her a dress. No sooner that I start looking I find this cool looking man’s leather jacket with matching pants and they fit. It’s half price so drop my 50 euros and I show Kirsten. You’d think she would be happy, Not so, she can’t find her a dress. Sorry!

We head back to the café pickup Opa and Oma then stop at the nice German restaurant to have lunch. We eat a small lunch because tonight the Hoffbrauhouse has a meal and entertainment.

They do this every Friday night and we have reservations.

It’s 7 PM and we’re on our way to the Hoffbrauhouse for dinner. We did this same diner last year and enjoyed so much that we’re doing it again. Sounds like we’ve started a new tradition. Wooo Hooo, just like going to Pine Mountain for Thanksgiving. Now we’ll be coming to German each summer. I like it.

Today has been a nice relaxing day, that’s good because tomorrow we’re heading to Passau.
