An hour on the beach which really does live up to its reputation.
Hi All,

So we are home safe and sound - no issues on the way back. Here are a few final pictures from Rio and one or two reflections.

Best Meal - El Establo in BA - the best steaks we've ever had - thanks Shirley!
Best Hotel - Novotel in BA - first class and great Value. Sauna was great too.
Best Experience - First sight of Iguazu Falls - jaw droppingly impressive
Best Shopping - BA definitely - bought loads - decent prices helped - we really like BA.
Best laugh - Watching two crew, five passengers and several passers-by trying to move a car (by lifting it!) out of the way of a Tram in Santa Teresa, Rio. The whole tram load of passengers cheered and clapped when after 10 minutes of struggling the way was clear. Marvelous fun in fabulous place.

Worst meal - some hotel breakfasts were iffy but nothing really stands out - food was good generally
Worst Hotel - All Season in Perth - a room with no windows !! Probably down to price - Perth is expensive - boom town prices and a record high for the Ozzie Dollar -

All aboard as Steve takes the controls...
ouch!
Worst experience - Being stuck at Iguazu airport on arrival with no one to meet us and the place virtually deserted.
Poorest shopping - Rio where Cathy could not find anything to tickle her fancy - until the very end.
Scariest moment - Steve: Stood on the terrace at the Football game in BA when Boca Juniors scored. The crowed went mad and I had visions of being crushed ... ooh err! It took me a couple of hours to get over that experience but now glad I did it. The Sydney Harbour bridge walk was a breeze by comparison.

So that's that. Thanks for following: we've really appreciated your interest. Please send any further comments direct to us on our ordinary email addresses.

The only question is ... What next? or should that be where to next?

Cathy and Steve

The sun came out and the breakers crashed. A great way to wrap it all up.
