Today we headed off to explore Ireland. We drove from Dublin, via Cork, to Killarney today. Initially, we were going to go via the Coast Roads and pop in to visit different Towns along the way but we soon realised that we would not have time for that - so straight to Killarney we went.
We arrived at Killarney at about 4ish in the afternoon and found a lovely B & B close to Town. We then set off to explore the place before dinner. We had a walk through the Town and then discovered that there was a castle nearby!!
We drove to Ross Castle, which was not very far from where we were staying. The castle was set in beautiful surroundings. There was a lovely lake and a woodland nearby. After wandering around the Castle and taking photos (surprise, surprise!!) we went for a walk in the woodland. The floor of the woodland was completely covered in white wild flowers, it was lovely.
Tonight we went to the Danny Mann pub for tea and listened to some lovely Irish music.
Another fab day, done and dusted. The time is flying by - Steve and I think that the Europe clocks go around faster than the ones at home!! Every time we glance at our watch another 2 hours has flown by.
(again, I am unable to write text on the photos. The castle is Ross Castle - I am sure you will be able to work out the rest)
