We woke up to a sunny day. A lady that was on dad’s staff back in Calgary was also over to help out her daughter so we met her at King’s Cross train station. We bought ourselves a My mutli pass for 5 days which covers all of our travel on trains, buses and ferries in Zone 1 in Sydney which was an awesome deal. I definitely recommend getting one if you come to Sydney.

Anyways, the 4 of us headed to the harbour. It’s so surreal being in a spot that you’ve seen so many pictures of. We decided to go to an aboriginal museum they have in The Rocks area so we walked up to the address we had for it but could only find an aboriginal art gallery. It was good for mom and dad to see some Aboriginal art.

We then decided to head up to the harbour bridge and walk across it. You get some great view of the Harbour and the opera house from the bridge. We got to the other side and decided to stop for a quick lunch. We decided to hop on a ferry and took it over to the harbour so we could walk right up to the Opera house. We took a few pictures on the steps and we were able to go inside to the box office area. I went into the bathroom and had to take a picture as everything was all curved and wavy in there, very pretty.

We decided to walk around the opera house to get a good view of the area and then decided to hop back on a ferry over to Darling harbour. You really get great views of the area from the ferries here. Darling harbour is a really nice area with all kind of restaurants and bars. We walked past the Sydney aquarium where they had some lego statues on display. We then headed up to the QVB (Queen Victoria Building) which is an old building that has been turned into a high end shopping center. Had a look around in there and then headed past Town Hall. Had a quick look inside and then inside a church.

We were all quite tired from all the walking we’d done so we headed back to King’s Cross and picked up some sushi for dinner and ate it on the rooftop with our wine. Was a really good day around Sydney.
