2011 Adventure

Hi everyone

We're off on another adventure in Europe. This time we're going to Dublin, Belfast, Herefordshire and Cirencester (UK). There are going to be many highlights of the trip but we are especially looking forward to meeting our newest grand daughter Elizabeth Amelia Willow who was born a couple of days ago. By all accounts she has the very best features of both her parents and is quite delightful. Stand by for baby updates as they come to hand!

This year I will be presenting at a big academic conference in Dublin. I have two papers and am co-chair of a panel on stakeholders which is the topic of my thesis. As I will be submitting my thesis this year, it’s a really good opportunity to get feedback from international experts in my field and catch up with friends.

I don’t think I’m really prepared for the cold and rain that usually falls when Peter and I are in Ireland. I have a sheepskin coat, hat, gloves, scarf and my docs so hopefully I will be sufficiently insulated the elements. If not, we’ll hit the op shops and find something better.

Cleo is having a friend: Sheridan coming to stay with her while we’re away. I hope Cleo doesn’t drive Sheridan mad wanting to go in and out all the time.

I’ll write again when we get to Dublin! Oh boy, I’m looking forward to that flight. I’m presenting first up on Monday and hoping to be awake enough to make sense!

Sandy and PJ Hi - off on another adventure - awesome. I tried to email you a few weeks before Ken and I left for Morocco but the email came back undeliverable.
