(Slovenian version below)

After exactly one hundred days of exploring South American continent we are safe and sound back home in cold Slovenia. Eventually all the fuss calmed down and we found some time to wrap up our spectacular adventure.

So after a brief visit to Cartagena, we could hardly wait to board the plane and off we were towards Colombian paradise island, San Andres. After an hour, the ground switched completely… it was still Colombia but hardly recognizable! English instead of Spanish, reggae music echoes from every corner and oldtimers and scooters are rushing down narrow streets. The most notable are tourists with golf-carts driving madly across the island. Because of super high season the island was full of Colombian tourists (who are even worse than the Germans…explanation follows) so we booked the apartment in advance. We could not recommend more Mr. Werner, the owner of the Katty's paradise house and Dive Center Karibik . Really friendly guy offers you all the information you need, has great equipment, cute rooms and a lot of good mood☺

We could hardly wait to jump in the gorgeous blue water of the San Luis beach so we spent the first day playing in the water, drinking fresh Pina Colada, making new Rasta friends and enjoying the evening sun.

The first insight into the underwater world of the Caribbean was the next morning - two dives: Blue Wall and Trampa Tortuga. Unfortunately, the first dive, I again had enormous problems with equalizing and was all miserable, not being able to enjoy a first-class dive spot like Blue Wall was ... but I was quickly consoled, because the other dive was problem-less and just plane FANTASTIC! Diving was really excellent - great visibility, lots of fish, shark, sea horse, Eagle Ray, Sting Ray, and much much more! All together we did 8 dives and we can recommend: Blue Wall (great wall and swim-through), Trampa Tortuga (really great visibilty), Montanita, Pyramid (shallow but lots of fish), Dedo de Mr. Morgan and El Faro (shallow but really special - loads of caves and swim-through).

We spent our afternoons in the company of great food, lying on the beach and of course, a little shopping was involved, given that the entire island is "Duty Free".
In the evenings we were entertained by some funny Colombian karaoke-like music or reggae music with

We had superb 2 days when we rented a scooter and explored the beaches of the island. And the last day we spent on the crazy beautiful island Johny Key ... of course it was full of tourists, but thank God they all stick to six square meters, so it was still possible to find a remote corner just for us.
It was also time for the last Colombian party and it was all about the white rum and Aguardiente again, spiced with some good salsa dancing! God, how will I miss it!!!

We started getting bumps in our throats, butterflies visited the stomach… and we had to return back to the cold Bogota ... meaning we were left with the last two days of our adventure! Uroš’ facial expression tells you all (I haven’t seen him so cranky for a long time☺). The last stroll down the Colombian streets, had some tropical fruits, chicken and fried potatoes, drank the last Aguila, had some sweets to die for... and flew back to freezing Europe.

Unfortunately Uros had to leave London earlier because of his Graduation ceremony. But I on the other hand got cheered up by my nephew Gašper who gave me the biggest hug... and for the next 3 days all I could hear was Anja, Anja, Anja ☺

So, now we are at home struggling with the harsh reality of finding a job, but somewhere in the back of our mind we’re already thinking, planning, dreaming about how we’re gonna fly back to heaven! Thanks to all who have followed us and I hope that the continuation is coming ASAP!!

Diving je bil res odličen – super vidljivost, veliko ribic, morski pes, morski konjiček, Eagle Ray, Sting Ray in še in še! Naredila sva vse skupaj 8 potopov in lahko priporočava: Blue Wall (Super koralna stena in tunel), Trampa Tortuga (izvrstna vidljivost), Montanita, Pyramid (plitek potop z ogromno ribami), Dedo de Mr. Morgan in El Faro (plitek, vendar veliko jam in tunelov).

Kako bom to pogrešala!!!

What a wonderful way to end your travels
I've enjoyed your blogs so hope you will continue to take short trips and blog about them. We'd love to hear about your home area. We are thinking of going to Columbia so reading your blogs have given us some ideas. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the compliment. We have some blogs on standby for publishing from our previous trips (Russia, Morocco,...), but there is no time to finish them...I hope we'll manage shortly. Blogging about Slovenia is also a future idea, but first we need to go travel around it. You know - first you wanna see everthing else but your own country :P
