Gills luggage finally turned up while she was up the slopes wearing a combination of Sara and my clothes!! Had a gentle start to Gills first day - after all she had been travelling for the 23 hours the previous day! By our reckoning she should be back on form in around one week. Weather closed in on the Monday nad lifts were closed on the higher runs as well as the Gondola due to high wind. Went to Kirkwood instead where a few more lifts were open - Gill and I braved the high winds while Sara surveyed the local talent at the base lodge!!

Hardy skiers of the group went to Squaw Valley to conquer KT-22 and Siberia to overcome irrational fears - no problem!! Snowboarder stayed home and took a carving and switch lesson (whatever!!). The following day went to Northstar which resembled a construction site but we could see the potential of this lovely resort.

Paddys night started with good intentions - a couple of cocktails made by our personal chalet maid - Peggy!! Went out for food and beer and the party animal (Gill - aka Peggy) had to go home at 9pm!! Sara and I however survived McPs and some dodgy chat from some basketballers from the " Bay area!!". We then hit the classiest nightclub in town - Altitude - we resisted the urge to dance in cages in our thermals!! Obligatory man in kilt chat and stumbled home alone at 3am - good effort.

Good Effort
Keep the flag flying! Good effort to reach 3 am girls... well impressed. What are you going to do once the skiing side of the travels is over? It will have to be bungy jumping, rafting or as is a new craze here, extreme running!? I'll show you when you get here! - Jenny
