It is only a few more days until I get to leave and go pick Aislinn up. It is killing me. There is so much to do. So much paperwork to review, food, clothing, toys, books, and medicine to cram into one suitcase and a carry-on. I cannot fathom what is in front of me, so I am not sure what to include. The list given seems long and incomplete. Is one book enough? I loaded some movies onto my computer, will I even have the time or the desire to watch them? What kind of food should I bring? I do not want to pack more than I need, but do not want to pack too few snacks and end up hungry. Will I have enough clothes? What if I do not bring enough toys, or if she does not like the toys I bring? Why do thermos' weigh so much? Can a carry-on weigh 400lbs? I have packed the suitcase once to show that everything will fit, but then proceeded to add what seems like twice as much stuff to the pile. I am thinking about packing a crate, will that go through security? I have set aside Tuesday to do more fretting over this, and to read all of the paperwork sixteen times. I must not forget to pack sleeping pills. I know that I will not sleep for the next few nights.

All of this does not include the fact that I am trying to shift my entire business workload onto my coworkers. So I am working 12 hour days to get others up to speed and keep up on the regular work. I will not even think about what is going to be there work-wise upon my return.

My wife, Darla, purchased a box of fortune cookies last week and we spent a day snacking on them. Now the messages are always generic. I know that there is no great mysticism or wisdom in the "fortunes." However, it is interesting to look at the fortunes that came my way:

1) Your present plans are going to succeed.
2) Good news will come to you from far away.
3) You will find luck when you go home.
4) No need to worry! You will have everything you need.

I am beginning to think that my wife special ordered the cookies...

thoughts are with you!
Scott, as I'm reading this, it's bringing tears to my eyes. We are so excited for you and I can't imagine what you are all feeling right now. Everything will be great and I'm sure the fortune cookies are all right, yes, Darla may have ordered those. They are just too correct!
