Alex and Anne flew in from a stop over in Hong Kong before staying with us in Brisbane for a holiday over the Christmas and New Year break.
With an action packed itenary they headed off to Byron Bay, a favourite haunt for them both and un be known to Anne, Alex proposed to her at the most easterly point of Australia!
We then celebrated their engagement with a meal out at The Custom House Restaurant over looking the river (shame about the rain though!)
It was a very happy evening and a good time was had by all, especially as the whole family were all together on the same side of the world!

Alex congratulations - what took you so long! Happy future and best regards to Kevin, Hilary and the rest - hope things have dried out down there, Brisbane is certainly off the news here but Melbourne is now starting to raise its profile. Love Tony, Jane, Adam (at Hull uni) and Harry (Moreton)
