I spent most of today packing up and organizing my things to take on the train. I walked into town and ran a few last errands and then I headed out to Freo to have a last visit with Kevin. We stopped at his fav pub for a drink and a nibble and then we headed over to the beach to watch the sunset over the ocean. It was so beautiful!

I am so glad that I came over to Western Australia. I met some of the most amazing people and worked in a place way out of my comfort zone. I've made some lifelong friends and learnt a lot about myself. Working in a country pub was one of the best things I've ever done for myself. It gave me a huge confidence boost and made me realize that there are some truly great people out there if you give them a chance.

My time may be up in Western Australia this time but I do plan on coming back so I can see the Northwest coast. I already miss Southern Cross and the people who I met out there. I never thought I would miss it this much but it truly was a great place for me. I had some ups and downs but I wouldn't change it for the world.

I'm off on the Indian Pacific train tomorrow to Adelaide. I hope on the train at 11:30am Sunday morning and I don't arrive into Adelaide until 7:30am Tuesday morning. I don't have a cabin so that means I have no bed. I do have a reclining seat though. As a backpacker is costs the same amount to take the train like this as it does to fly so I thought since I had the time I may as well do the trip. The train goes across the Nullabor plain. There is not much there and will show just how vast and empty a lot of Australia is. It's also the worlds longest straight stretch of railway. Should be fun!
