Buildings and stalls all compacted together.
I'm pretty sure I mentioned about the HK markets to a couple of you. It's a place to buy cheap things and weird things. It's also a place where you must bargain and if you don't or you don't know how, they'll strip your wallet good. It looks like a strip mall or an outdoor mall but instead of shops, they look like kiosks. I've took some pictures so you'll understand what I'm saying.

When I was a teenager I use to love coming here and haggle with the sellers. Sometimes I did great and when someone haggles well, they are given a black plastic bag to carry their things but if someone does not haggle well they are given a pink plastic bag. That's just what I observed. I've gotten the pink plastic bag a few times.

I went the Ladies Market. No, it's not a market just for ladies and it's not a market that only sells gadgets for ladies. It's just the name of the market but I don't really know the history behind that name. I like to imagine that this was where women use to make their own goods and sold it to the

public back in the days. Kind of like a Farmers Market. Now it's all mass-manufactured goods. Don't get me wrong, these gadgets are really fascinating. I saw some incredibly bizarre nightwear and underwear that I wish I took a picture of. They have the typical sexy costume for women like the French Maid nightwear or Anime style (sexy) Kimono. Then they also have underwear for men, using animal designs such as elephant, giraffe, monkey and the rest is your imagination.

Hong Kong markets are really a treat. It's just a different atmosphere and culture and it is very fun to witness and experience. The more you buy at a market, the better of a deal you can get. You just need to be persistent when you haggle. You also need to be realistic because these people are just trying to make a living and if something costs $100 HK ($12US) and you ask for $5 HK($0.65US) then that's a little extreme. Go 40% - 50% of the price and work with the seller. Sometimes it's really fun to haggle because the sellers can be quite funny and they're always having a laugh with you.

I walked past Fa Yuen Market, which is only 5 minutes away from Ladies Market. It's kind of like the same atmosphere but they tend to sell fruits and household stuff. It's harder to bargain here and I don't really know why. They do sell clothes but I wasn't interested (surprising). Maybe another day. Anyhow, I was there because right next to Fa Yuen market is a mini fish market. My dad was interested in buying some fishes so we went to get some (they died on the way back home). The fishes are sold in the plastic tubes and they're lined up on a rack. It's quite a sight to see because you kind of feel sorry for the fishes. But you see, Hong Kong is so compact you need to fit as many things as you can into a 300 sq feet store so you'll place 100 different kinds of fish on a rack. You'll see in the pictures.

I also saw a couple of puppies while I was roaming in the fish market. Most of the dogs people take care of are small in size because it's just difficult to have a big dog. I couldn't take as many pictures

of the puppies cause I'm not allowed so I had sneak my camera out.

I roamed around for 6 hours carrying all the things I bought. My feet and legs were exhausted by the end of the journey. Enjoy the photos and keep in mind I'm posting these photos in the order I took them. I figure you can see my journey and how I got to these places. More surprising. Enjoy!
