Jabeel Hafeet – I had been asking my husband for a while to go to Jabel Haffeet which is a mountain range that is visible from everywhere in Al Ain So one night out of the blue he says ok lets go up the mountain, I really wanted to go right before sunrise so I could get some awesome pictures but we went at night the mountain is very intense and high. I was nervous, not so much the height but the boulders that did not seem very secure from my view. Large big rocks on the side of the mountain unnerved me to say the least and they were doing construction digging so that didn’t help. But it was very beautiful when we got to the top we could see the entire city all lit up. My husband who has fear of heights was even more nervous than me and he didn’t want to get out of the car when we reached the top but he finally jumped out and peeked at the city. He also told me he will never go up that mountain again. Haaa Haaaa! (Pictures)

Jebel Hafeet (Arabic: جبل حفيت‎) (variously translated Jabal, Jabel and

entrance to Jabel Hafeet
Jebal) is a mountain primarily in the United Arab Emirates on the outskirts of Al Ain in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The mountain actually straddles part of the border with Oman. The mountain rises 1249 meters and offers an impressive view over the city. Jebel Hafeet was a well-known landmark throughout the area's history and is a contemporary tourist attraction. An extensive natural cave system winds through Jebel Hafeet.

At the foothills of Jabal Hafeet lies the Green Mubazarrah, a well developed tourist attraction. At the Green Mubazarrah, hot-water springs gush forth in little streams and form a lake. Swimming pools and jacuzzis are scattered all over the Green Mubazarrah. Jebel Hafeet is also home to a wide range of animals including bats, foxes, snakes, etc

Green Mubazzarah
Is a park at the bottom of Jabel Hafeet. There are separated natural hot water pools for men and women and surprisingly enough children are not allowed in the women pools they can only go with the men. There is a pool for men & children and a pool for men only. Then there is a pool for women and I think there is another pool for women only. I have not gone into the pool yet. The green areas are not naturally green if you see the pics of the irrigational system it takes a lot of water to make & keep these areas green. I often have moments where a theme song will play in my head, I call it an Allie McBeal moment for those of you who watched that show, No wonder why I loved it...Anyways when I saw the rolling green hills of Green Mubazzarah I couldn't help but sing---Theeeee hills are aliiiiive with the sound of muuuuuusiic......lol. The day after Eid Ul Adha we went to this area to go to jable hafeet but there were sooo many cars and traffic was backed up so much we thought Wow why are all of these people waiting in traffic to go up the mountain its going to take forever. We didnt realize Green Mubazzarah Park was there and thats were everyone was going to, It is the most beautiful place I have seen in Al Ain...and when you come I will bring you there, Insha Allah (God Willing)!
