Our accommodation has been very good, with a good breakfast (meaning a good variety of cereals, breads, croissants, egg, fruit, tea/coffee and juices).

Drove to Ypres (Ieper depending on the language). Hoped to see a WW1 museum but it was closed due to renovations. Walked around. Very nice and a lot cheaper than Bruges. Had a nice lunch (and an Irish coffee) and then drove to the Hill 60 site which quite famous WW1 location.

A lot of falling snow today and the kids had a lot of fun throwing snow balls and rolling up big ones. A lot of sliding as well.

Not much else to report. Tomorrow (5th) is Eileen's birthday and we catch a ferry from Calais to Dover. Ah - England at last. Hope they speak English - it will be a nice change, but not expecting much change in the weather. Oh - and driving will be weird too - right hand drive on left hand roads - half way right!!

I will publish these blogs again with photos once I get a good connection.
