Taxi transfer was waiting when we arrived (80 pesos from town). After the hostel I think everyone was a little dubious at the wisdom of choosing accommodation based on internet pics if the looks on their faces when we headed off the main road and onto a squishy red mud side track were anything to go by.

Rio Tropic however was perfect (well almost - wireless was pretty sketchy) quiet and pretty with a nice pool and great staff.

Nic and Tash were very excited to find that the caramel spread (their favourite thing about the previous accommodation) is pretty much the national dish (dulce de leche) and was part of the delicious breakfast served with fresh bread rolls, medialunas (croissants), fresh fruit, yoghurt, excellent coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice.

We met the lovely Lisa over breakfast and were lucky enough run into her again throughout the day, infact we joined forces to explore the awesome national park and our experience throughout Puerto Iguazu was undeniably better for having shared it with her.

Taxi to the falls (between 60 and 80 pesos from town) or you can easily get a bus (8 pesos I think).

As you enter the park a number of touts try to sell you extra adventures within the park. We can thoroughly recommend the short boat from the lower circuit (shoes and anything else you are not happy to have totally soaked need to go into the waterproof bags provided) so much fun and really gives you a close up of the
power and beauty of that part of the falls. The paseo ecologica which is a raft from the Devil's Throat path, down the river is also very nice. Do not fall for the "jungle safari" which is a 4-wheel along a mud track. We saw more wildlife whislt eating our breakfast at Riotropic. We enjoyed this trip as we spent so much time laughing at the lameness of it and at our silly touristiness for thinking it would be anything other than it was.

Seems ridiculous to spend more time discussing breakfast than the falls but mere words or even photos can not begin to explain how massive, awesome and beautiful the Iguazu Falls National Park is.
