Yesterday we took a taxi out to the airport, headed for Iguazu, Argentina. After a short flight, we were picked up at the airport by our soon to be new best friend, taxi driver Hector. On the way to our lodging, Hector offered to be our driver while in Iguazu for the fee of $450. A discussion followed with our official tour guide, Senor Trey, & we accepted Hector’s offer. After our arrival & check-in at the Esturion Hotel & Lodge - Iguazu, we made plans for the afternoon.
www.hotelesturion.com Trey contacted Hector & set him up to take us all out to Iguazu National Park that afternoon. You may not be familiar with this place but it was the backdrop for the Robert De Niro’s 1986 movie,
The Mission. This place has the most incredible waterfalls I have ever seen. So much so that we had to break our trip to the park into 2 days. For more on the park, click the link below.
www.iguazuargentina.com/english/ After dinner at the hotel, we watched a little television for the first time in days & were greeted with the news of a strike by the Argentine airline pilot’s union.
Surely this will be resolved before our flight back to Buenos Aires on Sunday! More tomorrow!

The Mission
Butch & Kay, I am envious of all your travels in Argentina and Uraguay. It looks like y'all are having the time of your lives......well deserved. The Mission is one of my faves.....I've seen it 3 or 4 times. Be safe!
