Well - the big day is here.
Graham is still in the Calgary area, so we got a chauferred ride to the airport (Honda class). The AC checkin was VERY slow, started to get worried, but then customs was very quick, so we arrived at the gate with time for Starbucks and Ann to keep in contact with students. If only they knew!
An absolutely gorgeous day to fly - clear all the way to the coast, with stunning scenery. You would think a camera better than the Blackberry would be on hand, but I guess it still gets the point across.
At the first of many Best Western hotels, near LAX. The streetfront is not too special, but a great room and outstanding service from all the staff. A good recession is always helpful in this regard.
The front desk recommended the 50's diner next door - Panns thurned out to be great. Home style food, American portions - should have split one meal.
Our flight to Seoul leaves at 1:00 PM tomorrow - a super relaxing way to travel with time to spare along the way.
