Queensland Sunset
Sunset over Queensland islands Magnetic Island is close enough to Townsville that part of it has effectively become an outer suburb. That hasn't spoilt it too much however and I enjoyed a walk around the bays on the north of the island and a World War II fort with excellent views over the island.
I also felt that it was about time I slowed down and relaxed for a while, so I spent much of the time slobbing by the pool and having a few beers. There was a big group of army guys at the hostel who were on a scuba-diving course - can't be bad - and, to cut a long story short, a few beers turned into a heavy drinking session (again). Some how I think that I should be doing something else in Queensland, but never mind, the best way is to just go with the flow.

Apparently the 'Bikini Tree' has been on a diet. I have a photo taken in the '70's and it is certainly bigger, legs shorter and the bust huge. '
