Hey, is anybody reading these blogs? Where are your comments anyway?
As we headed back to Anchorage from Seward, we enjoyed one breathtaking vista after another for hours. There were steep, kelly green mountains with snowfields near the tops and in the shady clefts. The sun came out for about five minutes at noon, then there were clouds again. We set up at Aunt Jean's again, threw in some laundry and headed to visit Uncle Dick. We had a nice visit. When we were getting ready to leave, there was going to be a new story on about the Taylor highway to Dawson Creek. It had been washed out a couple of weeks ago by flash flooding. We got distracted by Uncle dick's story that several bears have visited the parking lot area of the nursing home and entertained the guests. After we left, we drove up the little road where they were seen and saw a BUNCH of bear tracks coming and going from the woods. Local wildflife watching. We still don't know the story of the Taylor Highway where we want to travel in a few days.
On the way back, we stopped at Walgreen's to fill Nancy's prescriptions. Unfortunately, they didn't have enough of one kind of medication, so they sent us to another Walgreen's across town, where it was filled. Fortunately, when the prescription was filled, we were near a Baskin-Robbins so we had to have hot fudge sundaes. It's a tradition.

No way!
Hey, Nancy and Rich, My entire summer has been wrapped around your rambles and I have enjoyed every one of them. I guess I haven't been focused on your need for feedback, but here goes...You both are traveling in one of my most favorite destinations and are actually providing me with lots of beautiful pictures to dream with. I have family taking a "Sea-to-sea" walking trip in Northern England and their blog doesn't include pictures :-( so you guys are basically my only connection to the beauty of the natural world! Have a wonderful summer and I expect to see you both in my classroom this fall :-) Janet
