Kho San Rd
Preparing for Thai New Year Dear all we have just left Bangkok and suffering from a grueling 19 hour journey to the small Thai island of Ko Phan gan. Bangkok was such a contradiction to everything that we were warned about, elements of wondering through the streets would have brought back memories of Glastonbury with a strong hippy culture present. Yesterday, before we left we were walking through the Tourist orientated Kho San Road and had some randopm stranger soak us with a super soaker water pistol, which considering the temperature was most welcome! Food in bangkok was amazing, and most of what we ate was bought for next to nothing from street vendors, fresh pineapple for approx 15 pence and also Pad Thai which is a thai noodle dish featuring lots of garlic and was a similar price. (this cookery tip was brought to you by Kyle Delia Stewart..hopefully more to follow!) Despite best efforts Kyle managed to abstain from the ping-pong show...v amusing! We visited the lots of temples and buddhas including the massive reclining, golden buddha, pretty breath taking! Also a snake wriggled past Kyle's foot...now he's scared and won't leave his room. Thanks for all your messages and emails they really keep
us going! Miss you all.
