Cheers from Edinburgh,
Our driving adventure has almost come to an end...we still have to bring George back to the airport. He still remains fully intact. Shannon and I are exhausted, and had a hard time getting out of bed before noon today. A few days ago, in Pitlochry, we had an exhilerating white water rafting experience. We do feel bad for our tour guide because he had to look at us. Our greatest fears were realized, when we had to squeeze into wet suits in a public changeroom. We opted to change in the toilet instead...at the same time, which proved to be very ingenious, because it was a two man operation to put on the wet suits. After leaving the toilet, the Scot, laughed at us, and made a comment about how us Canadians felt the need to change in the toilet. While we were white water rafting we "Titaniced" the raft (on purpose) where I (Jackie) saw the life pass before my eyes. I got trapped under the boat, but soon made my way to the surface. Two of our main questions we have been asking the whole time here: Number 1- Where are all the Scottish people? Number 2- Are they speaking the same language as us? Seriously, can't understand a freaking thing they are saying. Apparently, we are party animals. We have closed down 3 bars. (At 11:00 pm). Not kidding. We were just starting to warm up, and they are shutting them down. I thought the Scots were drinkers. One of our greatest discoveries is VW a dollar drink at the bar. It comes in many delicious flavours like Orange, and Tropical. Shannon and I are very close seeing as how we are sharing the same bed for the past two nights...don't ask us why...we were too tired to complain. Ironically, it was the best sleep I've had in the past two nights...Shannon thinks otherwise. We are about to walk up the Royal Mile in search of Indian food which appears to be abundant here, so we thought we'd give it a try. Tomorrow we fly to Dublin and we will be in the Temple Bar District, which is known for its outrageous nightlife. Woo! We are glad to be leaving because we seem to embarass ourselves, every time we turn around. I have never embarassed myself so often. Shannon is asking people from Manchester about wedding rings, she asked if they wear them on their right hand because everything else is backwards. The man's response was "why?" and then he told her he had never been married. By the way, we found the answer to the life long question...yes the men do wear something under their kilts...we found that out at the Highland Games. P.S. parents, we sent home another parcel. Which proved to be a good thing because we weighed our suitcases last night and they are still overweight. Crap. Talk to you all in Ireland!

Hi fro Victoria
Hello again, girls; I feel old reading your blog. I only went into the pubs to eat and have one Guiness, not to party. I walked all around downtown Victoria yesterday and went to bed at 9:30! Looking forward to hearing about Ireland. Laura
