Today we get a late start for the border from Great Falls, Mt. after celebrating Leta's birthday. It's about a 2 hr. drive to the Canadian border, and everything along the way looks about the same as yesterday.
Both Shelby and I were packing (shotguns for wild animal protection), and the Canadian Mounted Police that was processing Leta and Shelby's paperwork decided they wanted to do an inspection of their Rv. A couple of hours later everyone had cleared customs, immigration, and weapons inspections, and we were admitted to Canada.
This evening we had to look for alternative parkiing since the Flying J at Red Deer, Alberta was very small, and there was no room at the inn. So, GPS, take us to Wal-Mart, and it did. Of course you can't just park at Wal-Mart without shopping.

Re: Gun search
Just recalled that when we went into Canada before the boys were born, we had a gun under the front seat of the car. When asked if we had any firearms, Worth said Yes, a (some calibre gun) under the front seat. The border agent said OK and didn't even ask to see it! But that was back in 1977 so times have changed. We didn't have terrorists then. Have fun. Pam and Worth
