I caught the train with the girl from Korea, we went to Munich together then went our seprate ways as I was going to Innsbruck and she to Salzburg. I love having this Eurorail pass, not only can I go then and where ever I please but I get to do it while sitting in first class if I want to. Which was wonderful on this train because I found a 4 seat compartment that was as big as the 6 seater but very roomy and when you close the door the air condion kicks in. I shared the compartment with this guy who was heading home to a place about an hour outside of Venice. He confirmed to me that Italy will be very, very hot at this time and thinks it is a good decision to not go at this time but another year and not in the summer.
My train arrived on time and I made my way to the hostel which the directions that were giving were spot on. My hostel is called Nepomuk's B&B. It is upstairs from a pastry shop which is also the owner of the hostel. As always after check in I
set out to find food. I found this pizzeria but I went for a seafood rissoto instead. It was the best thing I have eaten in Europe thus far. The seafood was not immatation crap that we get back home. This was real squid and crab and it only cost me 8 EUR. I went along the streets popping into the tourist shops so I can find my keychain that I have been collecting from the places I visit as well as some postcards for myself and some for family and friends to send back home. I didn't find either but I did find a really pretty necklace that has a Edelweiss as the pendent and is hangs in a purple rope as the necklace. This is the first thing I splurged on for myself and it was not even that expensive.
I pretty much just walked around all evening, I did go into the tourist office to find out more about paragliding, the guy told me to just come in in the morning and see how the weather is before I will know if I can go up or not.
I bought a salad, kebassa, juice and
a beer from a super market to have for supper. The juice was melon and pinapple which is the best juice ever (and have not been able to find since).
I just chilled in the hostel the rest of the evening talking to some German girls where were in Innsbruck to take an exam to try and get into the college. No applications here you just come and take an exam. These girls were trying to get into the sports program so their exam was not a written one. They had to do two grueling days or mulitply sports. The thing that is messed up about it is, they have to be extremly good at everything or they fail and they don't get into the program. Both girls ended up failing, I felt so bad for them.
