Abdullah looking at planes
Our trip went smooth (car rental) all the way from Providence RI to JFK (New York) other than having to lighten up some of our baggage. The only notable thing that occured in JFK is that they no longer have a masala (prayer room). They have a sectioned off area. We aboard our flight at 11:30 pm.

Our flight to France was filled with turbulance making it impossible for my husband and I to sleep. The kids did very well. this is the first flight for them that they are old enough to remember.
Our plan is to arrive in france we arranged for our lay over to be 9 hours so that we can do some sight seeing in France, we wanted to take some pictures at the Eiffel Tower and eat a genuine chocolate filled croissant.

We arrive in France 12:30 pm (7:30 am USA) 3 out of 4 of our carry on luggage does not have wheels and we walk a long way to get to the main section of the airport we are given several different instructions as to where lockers are. My husband realizes that they are not understanding what we mean by lockers,

waiting for our flight to France
his French is not superb and perhaps he doesnt know the correct word. We were informed of a National Strike and told we would be unable to go anywhere I later read this warning:
France

French travel 2010

17, June, A French nationwide general strike, for 24 hours, and demonstration are scheduled for Thursday, June, 24, 6 French unions joining in. Unions looking for large participation.

Air France-KLM will strike, 1:00 to 24:00 Thursday, June 24, 2010 expect flight delays out of Paris, Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports. Civil aviation authority asking airlines to cut traffic by 15 percent between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Paris airports, Orly and Charles de Gaulle. Shor and medium hauls to be effected.

We wait get ready to wait for 9 hours in the airport, I am exhausted ! we purchase 4 croissants a bottle of water and an orangina- total 25 dollars!!!!!! We sit to eat we people watch I am uncomfortable watching security patrol the airport with their AK47s, fingers on the trigger. I am compfortable with the large number of muslims in the airport, especially the hijabis (women who wear the head cover).

making funny faces

I am shocked that the airport is not required to put that black cover on their porn materials. They are in the store with everything showing! Seems they dont have a problem with showing a woman totally naked, but if one chooses to cover herself they take issue. so called FREEDOM is ironic:

Our plane finally arrives, after 3 delays and 12 hrs. in the airport, we board the plane, and depart for Morroco it is June 24 10:30
